• Children of Punmu


Children of Punmu takes a unique glimpse into Australia’s Punmu Aboriginal Community, and the special group of Martu Aborigines who moved back to live in the desert in an attempt to keep their culture alive in the face of globalization. The documentary takes the viewer to the middle of Australia’s Great Sandy Desert, chronicling the history of the Punmu Aboriginal community and examines the modern lives of their young people.

• People of Lake Merritt

People of Lake Merritt is a short documentary that shows the beauty and diversity of Oakland through character sketches of people who work and pass their time around Lake Merritt. There is an Asian-American artist named Peter, who spends most spring days painting landscapes of the lake. James, an African-American saxophone player who plays jazz free of charge for people who are relaxing by the lake.   Angelino, the gondolier who brought gondolas from Venice, Italy to this major urban area to sing beautiful songs to his clients as they watch the sunset over Lake Merritt.
